This is a true hidden gem! ❤️ The environment is so beautiful and serene, unlike anything I've seen in Ghana. The beach is very clean and quiet. The resort itself is very clean, and the staff is super welcoming. Food and beverages are good but definitely more on the pricier side, which is understandable, but something you should be aware of. This is the place to book for a perfect getaway!

Great location, excellent value with a lovely restaurant. Staff very helpful too.

The heat in the room above the kitchen. I would not recommend this room for anyone.

The location is remote and quiet, all is clean and safe, and the food is nice

I did book by accident the room without a private shower and a toilet in the sleeping (only) room. Of course, this might have been within the description of the room but I did not expect this and did overlook it. For the last night, it was possible to change the room free of additional cost and this room was with a private bathroom. There are two Lodges with private bathrooms and the one above the bar and kitchen has a brilliant sea view but unfortunately no private bathroom only a toilet in the same room, but the bed is excellent it's wide, thick and soft. Further; The place is pristine, if you are a good swimmer you can swim behind the waves. The owner and staff are very friendly, we had a pick-up from the airport to the lodge by the owner. (Waiting for us at our arrival) This took about 1,5 hours. Next: The AWA flight from Accra to Takoradi, is recommendable it's only 40 min and about €. 80,- per person. (Having an American pilot). It's much better than taking a taxi or bus which takes lots of time due to the traffic and dangerous African roads and driving style.

"small paradise with breathtaking beach near Butre village"

10.0

Francis and his team have created a small paradise on a fantastic beach next to Butre village. We stayed at the Afro Beach for 2 nights and had a pleasant and relaxing time. From the first welcome to checkout everything was great and Francis and the whole team care about the guests very personally and individually. The room was spacious and clean and a nice bathroom with shower. The restaurant offers good international and local options for affordable prices. The complimentary breakfast is good and the best moment was sipping a good coffee (french press) in the morning and watching the waves and fisherman on their boats and enjoying the peaceful environment. The beach views and walking the beach to the sunset is just breathtaking. A short walk to visit Butre village with friendly people and kids playing, many colorful fisher-boats and a wooden bridge which is an adventure itself ;) Medaase and will will be back!

everything was fantastic

Great breakfast, REAL coffee in French Press and delicious cuisine in general, especially fresh fish with banku. In general, I have visited many resorts in the close Busua area (as well as many other resorts in Ghana), but Afro Beach is genuinely something completely different. It is a unique combination of place (calm, quiet, untouched), housing (new and done thoughtfully with a passion), and personal (especially the owner - Francis - who is one of the most interesting people I have met). His motto (that he wants people to be happy) is not just a phrase. He can provide anything you want, also walking with you to a party in Busua or to Butre and so on and so forth. So, don't hesitate to visit Afro Beach; even Francis' story and personality are entirely worthy of doing so.

There is no signal from Airtel and Vodafone, but the wifi signal was excellent.

"A relaxing time at an actual beach front resort. Food was affordable and delicious. Staff were frien"

We loved the view and complimentary breakfast was good. Staff were amazing and very accommodating.

No lights in front of the rooms and the pets were a nuisance especially during meal times.
