Afro Beach eco Resort Butre

Francis has made a stunning property just outside the village of Butre. He and all the staff go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Food was great- the best redred I’ve had during my 6 weeks in Ghana!

Unfortunately my room was above the kitchen, meaning it got unbearably hot during the day, and any cooking smells did come up into the room. Francis did offer to put up a hammock outside during the day however, so he definitely tried to help!

The owners were very welcoming, the beach views were 10/10, the service was amazing as well. The food was extremely delicious. The owner was also helpful in taking us around Takoradi.

Food was 12/10 Room was 10/10 The staffs were very friendly. I really enjoyed the peaceful environment

I think there should be more advertisements.

Everything was great and we would love to come back in the future. The beach is very clean and the view from the premises / balcony amazing. Food was delicious and home cooked, so good to let them know a bit in advance what you want / make sure it's available. Pick-up was very well organized and we recommend that to other guests, too, as the place is very much in nature and perhaps hard to find on ur own.

Perhaps wifi could be added to the room's price.

Afro Beach Resort is a very unique and - to us - the most beautiful place in the area. We really enjoyed the quiet, clean beach right in front of the resort. The rooms are very clean and the food is delicious. While most of the other neighbouring resorts are owned by europeans, Francis is from the local community in Busua. He built up this amazing little resort by himself and takes really good care about his guests. He even walked us home from Busua and took us somewhere to watch the World Championship finals, organized a bonfire night and showed us how to play the drums. Also Eva walks the extra mile to make the guests happy. We will definitely miss the fun nights at the bar and the great conversations! We will come back for sure!

Francis, Eva, James and the team were very friendly and helpful in every way. Located right on the beach it was the perfect break and get away. The shower was big and had a wooden floor.

Everything was really nice. Order your dinner a little in advance..;) Breakfast was very fast :)

Wonderful place.. Originally planned to stay for 3 ended up staying for 10. Francis who runs the show is a diamond of a man + a great chef. Fresh fish everyday if that's your thing. Finally the beach is a dream & other beaches as beautiful in the area too. Try it, you won't be disappointed...

The view was outstanding. Surreal and peaceful.

Clean rooms. Peace and quiet. Lots of nearby restaurants to eat from. Highly recommend.
