Taverna Akrogiali

Pavlos was incredible and went above and beyond as our host. Food was great! Our sea view from our room was amazing!

The location is simply breathtaking – a small traditional Greek taverna set in a quiet, spectacular bay. The views from the terrace, directly overlooking the sea, or while enjoying breakfast or dinner by the water, felt almost surreal. It is something incredibly rare to find nowadays, especially in the midst of mass tourism. Even though we visited in peak August, the atmosphere remained peaceful and authentic, waking up with nothing but the sound and scent of the sea, in absolute silence and relaxation. Loutro, the main village, is literally just around the corner, easily reachable in minutes with the very convenient taxi-boat service. That’s why I would highly recommend staying here if you want to explore Loutro: you can enjoy its charm during the day, but retreat to the tranquility of this bay afterwards. Another big advantage is that you can reach the property directly by car and safely leave it in their private parking. This is a huge plus compared to Loutro, which can only be accessed by ferry, meaning you would otherwise need to leave your car at the port.

If I really had to point out one small downside, it would be that the bathrooms could use some renovation, as they are quite old and worn. For the rest, everything was just perfect.

L'emplacement est un véritable trésor à découvrir pour les amoureux de la nature, les randonneurs et toute personne en quête d'un havre de paix loin des foules. Dès la route pour s'y rendre, on est émerveillé par l'impressionnante vue et les chemins sinueux qui donnent un avant-goût de ce lieu enchanteur. À l'arrivée, le site pittoresque bordé par la mer nous accueille chaleureusement. Notre chambre avec balcon nous a agréablement surpris. Spacieuse et élégamment meublée, la chambre offrait un mobilier épuré et de qualité. La douche était luxueuse et le lit d'un confort exceptionnel. Une fois les portes et volets du balcon fermés, le silence régnait, garantissant une nuit paisible. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les plats cuisinés sur place, ainsi que l'accueil et le service des membres du personnel. Un grand merci à Hussain et Pavlos pour leur convivialité et leur disponibilité constante.

Le seul regret que nous avons eu est d'avoir réservé seulement pour 3 nuits.

We really enjoyed the location, we thought the beach was beautiful and the overall area was beyond what we expected. The food and service was incredible, and the owner of the hotel is so kind and friendly. The area is so quiet and peaceful and everything we needed was there! Could not recommend this stay enough, our favorite place!
