Almost everything. Specially the staff. They couldn’t provide us the room shown in the picture while booking. So they gave us a twin bedroom. I don’t know which type of arrogance made them think that guest who has paid to stay, booking a superior double room will adjust in a small twin bedroom..

The property is beautiful, with spectacular views (weather permitting!). We had a very comfortable and clean room with a balcony and it was a lovely place to sit and relax. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, they helped organise taxis and made suggestions for activities. They also had late night dinner ready for us twice. We actually chose to extend our stay by a few nights because we were so comfortable there. The location is good too, a short walk to the centre and not too many stairs/steep hills unlike lots of Gangtok.

The property has a wholesome feel that really helps you get to a vacation mood faster. It has well tended gardens and the food is sourced locally which are big plus points. The rooms are very clean and well maintained.

The pillows were very old and I wanted them to be changed to new ones but I don't think they had any.
