Netuk House a heritage boutique stay

The property was fantastic, the manager and staff were very gracious, responding quickly to every request, making us feel immediately at home. Our son got a gastrointestinal bug and the manager and staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast was great too

The only hiccup was a short power outage (not the properties fault probably) and the WiFi that could be stronger in some of the rooms.

The Netuk House is comfortably located in the centre of Gangtok: it’s quiet and only a 5-minutes walk to the MG marg. The architecture is (partly)traditional Sikkimese. Beautiful! The rooms with authentic interior design elements are comfortable. From the balcony you have a beautiful view on the Kanchenjunga mountain on clear days. The owner and staff are kind and helpful.

The buffet style breakfast is basic. The mattress in our room was a bit soft in the middle, so we ended up ’rolling down’ towards each other during the night.

1. Staff was courteous . we arrived quite late by 1am and they were available for smooth checkin 2. The room was quite big , mountain view as booked 3. Bathrooms were clean and hot water was available at all times 4. Enough sofa space and seating for group of people 5. we had asked for extra bed which was prepared before our arrival itself 6. Location is quite good and about 8-10 mins to MG road which has all eateries 7. Property is beautiful - lots of flowers , cleans and heritage portions of the hotel , good view 8. Taxis were allowed till inside so luggage management was easy 9. Did not try the food as MG road was so near - did swiggy and it was accessible

- different tea varities would be nice - had only assam team - no infusion or green tea variants

Everything was excellent, from the support for activities and the comfort of the room to the staff, at every level, that went out of their way to be helpful. I don't often award a 10, but this is worth it.

Laundry took a while to return, but it did in the end, nice and clean.

Loved the view, the location and the heritage rooms.

Breakfast option was not great and I hope that improves.
