Hotel Chalet

Room is very basic but clean

Door was locked and we hat to wait 10 minutes before check-in because the owner was out.

Manuel is a super nice guy that helped us wirh the tranfer to Panajachel. The hotel is cute and comfortable!

Dogs were barking in the middle of the night for hours

The hotel is close to the center yet it is not noisy at all. The staff is very kind and helpful, it was a pleasure meeting the owner. My suite had a great window and it was clean and cozy.

I spent 4 nights here and the room was not cleaned in the meantime. From one hand I understand the intention of not touching anything but on the other i would have appreciated it at least once during my stay. Not a big deal though. Not sure about other prices in Chichi but in Guatemala it seems to be a bit pricey compared to other locations’ apartments’ prices. Make sure you have cash as card is not accepted - there is a cash machine close to the hotel.

- The host was absolutely amazing! we booked really last minute, but he still made sure everything was ready for us even though he didn't expect us. He was super friendly, polite and helpful. he told us how to take the busses and gave us some good recommendations. - amazing place if you wanna have a Guatemalan local experience. - super close to the markets - bathroom was good and clean. good pressure of shower.

Close to market, late checkout was awesome.

Almost none of the features listed on the Booking listing were provided. When I asked about them (like the pool, coffee/tea maker, kitchen, fridge, etc., the manager said they aren’t provided. I didn’t even get the room I reserved with only one bed, my room had two and was very cramped.

The place is really in the centre so it’s close to the market. The host was really helpful and lovely. The rooms had everything you need.

There was a slightly weird smell in the hotel and the room was cold during the night.
