Samyama Retreat

The peace, the beautiful views, the great attention to detail

This is a FANTASTIC property, and a truly must-stay destination in South Goa. The staff are phenomenal (the owner will go out of his way to make your stay comfortable), the location is stunning and so close to Cola Beach (easily one of the best beaches in Goa). The food they make at the restaurant is amazing and reasonably priced (the aloo lababdar in particular is incredible), and the rooms are clean and spacious and beautiful for watching the nature that surrounds the property. Thank you so much, I hope we will be back :)

The road to the property is not so good, and be careful to follow instructions in the Whatsapp message, Google Maps gets the directions wrong!

A bit isolated

The best place we have stayed in India. The owner, Vipin, is very attentive and kind, and the rest of the staff are helpful and polite. The hotel is in a secluded area of the jungle, but only a few minutes walk from the beach. The food was outstanding, and we felt very relaxed during our stay. Vipin was able to organise transfers to the airport, and was helpful in giving us tips on where we should visit. The hotel room is well equipped and spacious, with a huge bathroom. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Goa!

Nothing

We went to Samyama for a week of rest and relaxation and we got it! It was the perfect place to just chill. It’s away from the touristy Goa, set in amongst the forest and not too far from Cola beach. You can walk to Agonda to the south or other nearby beaches to the north. The bungalows are comfortable with large decks and a large bathroom. It is very quiet and peaceful at night. You wake to the sounds of birds, peacocks and the local monkeys. Nature surrounds you! This is a simple retreat without all the bells and whistles which suited us perfectly. The staff were beautiful and treated us like family. Thanks you Vipin and your staff for a such a wonderful stay. We will be back!

Kayakers in the lagoon can get a little noisy during the day especially on the weekends. But they are funny to watch :)

This is a wonderful place in the middle of nature's lap: a paradise, created by nature itself and Mr. Vipin, the amazing owner of the retreat. Be prepared for a very peaceful place, with plenty of birds, wild peacocks, monkeys, flowering plants... The bunglows perfectly met our needs, nothing is overdone or fancy, but in very good condition, everything works perfectly ( electricity, hot water, shower, WIFI) The staff is lovely, and Mr. Vipin an amazing host: always reactive (even online sometimes within minutes), always searching to even more improve your stay, very helpful for your ongoing tickets... The dishes are yummy with big portions. We loved every moment of our stay there and wholeheartedly recommend the place, we are looking forward to come back!

Honestly nothing to say.

Samyama is truly a retreat from the maddening crowds of the cities and other tourist spots. It is close to Cola beach, which is a quiet, sequestered beach, away from the crowds. An added attraction is kayaking in the stream that originates from the beach side. Vipin and his team were very helpful with suggestions to make our stay comfortable. Will certainly stay at Samyama whenever we go back to Cola beach.
