Samyama Retreat

What a stay that was!! An absolute treat, relaxation and savouring each moment of the day thanks to the hospitality, location and the food. I obviously read all the reviews before booking here so my expectations were pretty high. Still, the reality has proven even better than that. In details: HOSPITALITY - the VIP treatment from Vipin, the owner, was perfect. He’s doing so many things personally himself making sure the guests are properly greeted and taken care of. He has build the place himself and keeps developing it still, being full of ideas of how to introduce new elements to the place and guests experiences. Thank you VIPin!! LOCATION - the bungalows are inside the jungle forest. That could be a minus for some but I just loved the feeling of closeness to the nature and being woken up by the sounds of the birds and animals. You have an occasional gecko in the room but nothing that is dangerous, it’s part of life. The bungalows themselves are super spacious and therefore comfortable. You have all you need incl the USB charger. The resort is located slightly off the busier side of the beach, providing some quiet time. The only thing is the kayakers who use the river passing by the restaurant, but that’s ok, and as someone already said it here, funny to watch :) Cola beach itself was absolutely fantastic - quiet, almost with no people at times, a long stretch of a few coves to swim in the ocean. The only civilisation are the beach huts and bars that are hidden under the palm trees, so not intruding into the beach. No sun beds. No umbrellas. Pure astounding beach. The only thing that there are bigger rocks in the water, so you need to Find your way of navigating between them, which is thankfully not too difficult. FOOD - a huge choice of dishes with reasonable prices and you can count on recommendations from Vipin which would perfectly come up with combinations to match your personal taste.

Amazing staff and so caring, from the moment we arrived until we left! We truly loved this gem, where I found the most beautiful butterflies I've never seen before! Rooms are spacious and clean!

I would just point out the way to get to this place. It's not the easiest, especially if you come at night with a scooter for the first time, but it's worth the adventure

Beautiful and Calming place right in the middle of nature.. such a nice scenery all around, very well made premises with nice spacious rooms. The owner was very kind and always available to help. (Rest of the staff also) Both dinner and breakfast were really nice. Very close to Cola Beach, one of the nicest beach in Goa. No complaints about this place..only good energy... wish we could have stayed longer! (The photos don't do justice for this place, so much nicer)

L’endroit, le service et la nourriture

I had an AMAZING stay at Samyama Retreat. Everything has been amazing, the entire staff and the owner are so friendly and welcoming, and the location is secluded and so quiet. The location is really close to Cola beach, which is pretty large and great, but also within a reasonable distance you can find other amazing beaches. They also have a restaurant where they have great food, cocktails and pretty much everything you need. They will do their best to help you with anything you need(a taxi from the airport, a scooter, they even helped me with a beach towel as I didn't have space for one!) The internet is also VERY fast and reliable, you can easily also do some work if you want to :-) All in all, if you're looking for a quiet and secluded place, Samyama Retreat is the property to choose!!!

Super tranquil space, surrounded by nature, only a few steps to the beach. Great wifi, good water pressure in the shower, comfy bed, big rooms, lovely balconies, great food and very attenrive staff.

Nothing, was the perfect place to unplug and relax

We stayed here recently and loved our stay, so much so that we came back and stayed here again for another 3 days. My partner is English and I am Indian and we both loved the food here. Everyone was so lovely, friendly and extremely accomodating. I would surely stay here if we visit Goa again. Long story short, if you are looking for a place to stay with some peace and quiet away from the busy crowd, this is it.

I love the mix of beeing in the jungle enjoying the calm and the sounds of nature but being able to be at the beautiful cola beach in approx. 5 minutes. for me it’s the perfect combination to relax the body, mind and soul. Hr whole place invites you to love from day to day. I also was able to keep up easily with my work in Europe as the WiFi connection is good. Also I didn’t even eat somewhere else because the food is soooo good! try the Paneer dishes and the incredible omelets

This place completely exceeded our expectations .A person must be here to feel the incredible ambience and the impact of nature. True relaxation is present, beautiful Cola beach is 5 mtns walking, Agonda and Kakolem just 2.5 km away and possible on foot. Mr. Vipin is an incredible host, very well accompanied by great staff and cook.

Nothing to say.

The owner and staff were always there when you needed them and not there when you didn't. The food was excellent.
