Samyama Retreat

Lovely spacious room with large verandah overlooking the trees and little river. We loved sitting out watching the birds and monkeys. It was just so relaxing. Vipin was a great host, and always on hand. We really appreciated the morning tea brought to our room. A 5 minute (hilly) walk to probably the most beautiful beach in Goa. A very special place.

It’s quite isolated; be prepared for that. But once you’ve walked up to the car park, it’s only 6 minutes to Agonda. Probably not terribly suitable for those with mobility issues. The kayakers go through the property, and our room was close to the river. They can be rather noisy, however it’s just the sound of people enjoying themselves, and I found it entertaining.

The cabins are set back in the jungle, uphill from the creek. There’s an incredible chorus of birdsong in the morning, with the occasional peacock or langur monkey outside the window.

The 1 km long access road is so rough that the taxi and rickshaw drivers either refuse to drive it, or double their price.

Absolutely beautiful and quiet place to stay in nature and calm down from the big City life. The food is fantastic aswell.

A perfectly located in a tranquil area of Goa. 10 minutes walk to the beach and an excellent restaurant at the retreat, situated river.

Other than relaxing, going to the beach and eating well. There was a little else to do, perfect place for reading and writing a book.

Samyama is an amazing place. The owner, Vipin, has created a beautiful and peaceful retreat near the beach. Vipin and his staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The food is lovely and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable.

Staff was helpful and polite. Food in the restaurant was very good and with reasonable prices. The place was nice and quiet.

The property is set close to Cola beach but in the jungle making it feel peaceful and close to nature . The room / bathroom were large , the bed exceptionally comfortable and the shower hot and efficient even though you need to wait a few minutes as it is run on solar .The balcony is also large and perfect for yoga , meditation or just to sit enjoying feeling so close to nature and admiring the natural surroundings . Vipin is an amazing host with a true belief in providing an exceptional service to his guests . I left my wallet in the taxi and Vipin immediately rang the driver took me to collect it from previous location in Palolem . We were provided with complimentary Chai masala drink every morning( could have tea / coffee )at a time to suit us and all food we had was delicious and fresh .

Nothing , we suggested sun loungers on the balcony would of been good and as mentioned in previous reviews the numerous kayakers were noisy but only for a specific period of time in the afternoons , as also mentioned it was amusing to watch .

Beautiful hut with spacious room, bathroom and balcony. Very clean and tranquil place. The owner and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great use of WhatsApp to keep information updated. I loved every minute of the stay.
