Our stay at Samyama retreat was an absolute delight. Tucked away in the heart of nature, the serene ambiance was a refreshing escape. The staff's exceptional hospitality and mouthwatering food made our stay. unforgettable. Can't wait to return! Thank you Vipin bhai.

The beach is very close but the property does not actually face the beach.

We had an amazing time at Samyama retreat. It's a perfectly calm place in the jungle just a 3min walk from a wonderful, small beach - beautifully located huts near a small river and you wake up feeling like in a tree house. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional, made sure we were happy & content, organised a pick-up from the airport and gave us good tips on places to see in the area. The whole crew was very kind and the atmosphere is calm & relaxed. No problem with mosquitos and it gets nice and cool during the nights. Complimentary morning tea/coffee to enjoy on the balcony and fruit juices to die for. Dinners were also super delicious. Make sure to try their lassi and Malai Kofta or Palak Paneer. So good. You have to know that the road leading up to Samyama is a bit difficult to drive on but it's absolutely worth it. We walked a lot around here, too. Take a 20min walk down to Agonda to get the beach town vibe/some vegan restaurants like Zest or 45mins to Kakolem beach (beautiful remote lagune) which was a tip we got here. We will definitely come back to Samyama if we come back to Goa in the future!

Vipin is a very welcoming and kind host. he will do everything to make you feel comfortable and will not hesitate to take the time to chat with you (which is rare) The location is surrounded by nature, with a small stream below. A true haven of peace. You also have Cola beach, which is 3 minutes away on foot. If you are looking for a place to relax and be in contact with nature, this is the place to be!!

Lovely spot in the jungle, overlooking a small river. Rooms have overhead fans, and very nice shaded balconies. An amazing variety of birds.

- Hot water is available only when the sun has had time to heat it up. - No screens on the windows or patio doors - Access to the hotel requires a bone-jarring ride on a very bumpy road (or a lovely but hot and dusty walk). - Would have appreciated a kettle and coffee/tea in the room.

Feast for eyes and ears. Woke up every morning to birdsong, very quiet green and peaceful (after the pesky kayakers leave). Best sleep I had in the 4 weeks in India. Vipin and staff (shoutout to Sachin and Anuj) were super attentive and took care of every single request. We will remember those fresh sautéed garlic prawns.. Cola beach was a short walk away and perfect for our walks. Highly recommend if you want simple, attentive, non-commercial place to relax

Same as numerous other mentions - the kayakers - but we were generally able to ignore them when up on the deck

Everything! Location:Just as described , so peaceful and idyllic. Facilities: The rooms were great , with a lovely bathroom , bed and bed too and a super veranda to sit and listen to the birds and other local wildlife . Staff- Wonderful!!!All the staff , along with Vipin the peer couldn’t have for more to ensure we had a super stay .(We were brought a complimentary drink to the lodge before breakfast , the service and food for breakfast and dinner was great and the travel advice given by Vipin was fantastic as he organised taxis and transport through India for us .)

There was NOTHING to dislike .

We have stayed in all sorts of accomodation in India, including five star hotels. I can safely say Samyama Retreat is far superior to them all. Not only is the service and accomodation brilliant, the restaurant serves the best food we have had in India too. Delicious, fresh and cooked with love. The location is secluded but close enough to walk to the beach and shops/restaurants. Not that you will need to eat anywhere else. Thank you so much to Vipin and the team who made us feel like royalty right from the start.
