Samyama Retreat

The location - quiet yet convenient, the staff, the food - everything. Vipin has put in a tremendous effort to come up with this place and it shines through. The landscaping and location of the cottages ensure ample privacy. Very spacious rooms with a deck/patio and washrooms. Lots of birds around in the mornings and evenings particularly. Close to the beach and right on the stream. Everyone was always happy to ensure comfort. To sum up, after roaming around all day, we looked forward to coming back here and relax.

The approach road isn't the best but it helps keep Cola beach slightly less busy.

The nature, lagoon right outside the property so perfect for swimming, beautiful beach 3 min walk away, can even swim from the property to the sea, very hospitable staff, very clean room with big bathroom and big balcony’s, lots of plants to make you feel like you’re in the jungle, even saw wild monkeys in the morning!

Location around the property is a bit dead but that only adds to the feel of being secluded in nature !

Rooms not air-conditioned

I was staying at Samyama Retreat for the second time and I have to say I'm blown away. It seemed like paradise to me when I was there 1 year ago but it has become even more beautiful since then. Waking up in this stunning and perfectly clean chalet, while listening to the sounds of nature - it doesn't get any better you might think. But then you have breakfast in a beautiful lush garden next to the river before your short walk to the most beautiful and pristine beach. The rooms are spacious, the beds big and very comfortable and the bathroom with a sky light is a highlight in itself. The staff is impressively attentive and helpful and they serve some of the best food you can get in Goa. If you're looking for a place to recharge and like to be close to nature, this is the place to be! I already can't wait for my next visit. :)

Everything was great!

Location, tranquil and in midst of nature The owner couldn't do enough to please us. The staff is pleasant and professional. Accomodation clean. Food is good, plenty of choice. Would certainly re visit.

The only downside was noise from kayakers, not the fault of the retreat.

Great nature. Monkeys, birds, trees, flowers and fruits. Peaceful and beautiful. Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant good, something for everyone, generous portions. The creek running through at the bottom was free of any rubbish, the water seemingly good. The beach is just 5 minutes away. Beautiful beach but not so great for swimming unfortunately because of rocks in the water. For that go to Palolem.

Amazing Natur huts in the jungle with birds and monkeys around, star window above the bed, super clean, tea on the porch delivered in the morning, only 3 min to the beach, outstanding food prepared all with bottled water (so safe to eat everything!), very friendly host and staff, very transparent communication. They organised us a taxi that brings you to the accommodation, even if the dirt road is a bit bumpy. I would definitely recommend to visit if you want some calm oasis and nature experience :) This place is very sustainable and conscious - they are self-sustained with own well and solar panels for electricity. Soon there will be yoga and meditation offered also!

Vipin and his staff are wonderful. The food is delicious and fresh Location is lush and near a river Had fun rafting Vipin gives you treats like Lassi, coffee, tea, and cashew fruit. He has planted hundreds of flowers and trees among the already established ones Utilizes natural resources like solar and harvesting water from the river Samyama is a retreat away from the sometimes noisy Cola Beach

The road to the place is a bit rough Cleaning rooms not offered Rooms get too hot during the day Unfortunately, the tree canopy wasn't enough during the time we went Wouldn't discourage me from going back, though
