Samyama Retreat

Pretty much everything. The location is very close to Cola beach which in itself is to me one of the beaches in India. Its very peaceful , the host and his staff are simply amazing. The little touches blew me away and made a real difference. If you want a retreat, this is the place. The road down is a dort road so please get a cab or be a competent scooter rider. I've been in India for 2 months and this is the best place I've stayed !.

The road down is a dirt road .. I ride bikes and was OK with it so I suggest a cab or be competent bike rider.

Samyama retreat is one of the loveliest places we’ve stayed in India. It is so peaceful, full of nature and birds, beautiful flowers and is a very short and easy walk to Cola beach. The room is so clean and well equipped and we had a beautiful balcony overlooking the trees and river. All of the food that we ate here was excellent - also some of the best we’ve had. The complimentary tea and coffee bought to our balcony each morning was an amazing touch and great start to the day. Vipin and his family and team have been so incredible. They have been amazingly accommodating and kind to us and helped us with whatever we needed. We thought we’d missed our train back to Cochin on the last day and Vipin and his wife didn’t stop until they’d sorted it out for us. We are so so thankful. You should not hesitate to book Samyama and I hope we can return at some point in the future. Thank you again Vipin for everything. Eloise and Hannah

The property is located in beautiful nature but only a short 3 minutes walk from the beach. I loved doing my yoga in the morning on the balcony and enjoy the calm silence.

Samyama was for us like a dream come true. Right in the ‘jungle’ and only two hundred metres from Cola Beach. We saw monkeys in the trees and every morning we heard heavenly bird sounds. We were hosted by Vipin and his team, they did a great job to make our stay unforgettable. And last but not least: the food was excellent!

Peaceful stay. The staff here is very friendly. Overall would recommend to people looking for a stay option in the cradle of Nature with absolute peace.

I don’t even know where to begin…the location is magical, hidden deep in the jungle but walking distance from a quiet beach. I loved staying in my little jungle hut! Well, not so little…it’s spacious with a powerful ceiling fan, and the bathroom is also large with a small screened skylight so you can shower under the trees and listen to the birds (side note: this is also a birder’s paradise…I probably added 10 new species to my life list). Vipin, the owner, has put his HEART and SOUL into every facet of this retreat. He is attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely wants his guests to have the best experience possible. He has exciting plans for the future , and I sincerely hope that I can visit again to see them come to fruition. There’s an onsite restaurant and bar, and every single dish I tried was stellar. The whole staff is kind and gentle. It’s truly a peaceful retreat

If you want a peaceful break in nature this is the place. It is very unique in that it is in the jungle but walking distance to the most amazing beach cola beach. The owner Virin is always on hand to have a chat give advice and help you select food that suits your palate. The food is amazing with a great concept in that everything on the menu is available at any time so you are not watching the clock in case you miss breakfast. The rooms are so private everyone has their own cabin and ours had a hammock on the veranda. Also organised a taxi for us in the middle of the nite. Highly recommend for an escape from the mad world. Will be back.
