The room was clean and spacious and the price was good

The location was great for us as we were meeting people in Cottingham, it is right next to a petrol station, and had the added bonus of being over the road from a Waitrose store, so very exciting, lol. The room is in an adjacent building and was very spacious, clean, with a comfy bed and tv channels you actually might want to watch. The restaurant is the pub in the main building.

Not saying I didn't like the breakfast but it was very bog standard with no extra little touches, there was no fresh juice or fruit available, but the coffee was nice, so swings and roundabouts. The pub was very popular with non guests for the breakfast, and was very busy. For the price it was all very good value so not complaining, just commenting. :)

We had a really pleasant stay and were genuinely impressed throughout. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, with a very comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep after a long day working away. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, loved the yorkies with breakfast, fresh food and friendly staff keeping everything topped up and tidy. What really stood out though was the overall atmosphere. Everyone we came across was welcoming, helpful and down to earth, which made the stay feel relaxed and easy from start to finish. We would happily stay again when working in the area.

Only a couple of very minor things really. Using the Blue Light Card discount at dinner was a bit awkward as getting the QR code up on the phone took longer than expected, but the young lady serving us was excellent and patiently helped sort it out. She was genuinely friendly and a real credit to the team. The kitchen also forgot our desserts initially, although again this was quickly resolved by the server without any fuss and she handled it brilliantly. These were small issues in what was otherwise a very enjoyable stay.
