Very nice surprise to see that there is a pool!! I did not read this in the description so it came as a nice surprise... Beautiful setting although it is a modern built haveli. Nice service and friendly staff. Nice decoration. Very good that you don't have to tip each person but leave a lump sum for all to share at the end.

We had an amazing stay at The Gulaal - both the room, hotel, and common spaces were amazing.. however, what really made the difference was the staff. the welcome was really outstanding - they allowed for an early check-in which was much needed after having spent the night in the desert. the room was welcoming and extremely clean - shower was spacious and the bathroom was perfect. the rooftop restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner, with a great view and away from the chaos.

A very pretty boutique hotel. Nice pool. Nice small Green lawn. good spa facilities. Hotel staff are very polite and helpful. Excellent hospitality.

We loved the stay . The rooms were really nice and big. They had beautiful rooms with Indian decor and the hotel looked like a palace. Also the top floor restaurant had a wonderful view of the Jaisalmer fort and the city

Just a suggestion was to add a curtain in the spa. As currently there is no separator for male and female section. And the desert safari suggested by the hotel was slightly on the expensive side and the desert safari restaurant didn’t have much variety on their buffet spread .

The Hotel is a beautiful quiet spot within the city. We were welcomed warmly and given beautiful rooms. So many amenities included, it feels like a five star. The rooms are decorated lovely, actually the whole hotel is one big decoration of Rajasthan Culture and History. We even had a view of the fort from our room. The bed was comfortable and shower also great. The pool ist really nice and lounging chairs were shaded. It is also possible to order something at the pool. The food from the restaurant was the best on the trip, as it is freshly prepared (no pre-mixed stuff) and the chef could present it non-spicy. The breakfast also offers anything you wish for. The view from the roof-top restaurant is of the fort. The hotel also helps with calling a Tuktuk to take you to the sightseeing spots, like the fort. On our complete Rajastahn Road Trip, this was the best Hotel and experience.

The location was great, not in the middle of the chaos but a short walk away from the fort. The food was absolutely amazing, the best we had in Jaisalmer.

The price was high, compared to other comparable options

This hotel is a hot tip for a stay in Jaisalmer. We were surprised by the fantastic rooms, the great view to the city and fort, and the very friendly and helpful service of the whole staff.

We would have stayed longer

Everything was really good. Staff were excellent and welcoming. Food was really good. Ate there a lot. When there was an issue with our room it was solved promptly. Swimming pool was very nice indeed. Great stay!

Hotel Gulaal is THE BEST! The rooms are really comfy and nice, the location is great and the service is unparalleled. Service - all around the service is 10/10 but what really sets them apart is how they go above and beyond. I unfortunately left our passports and some cash in a desk drawer in our room and didn’t realize until we reached Jodhpur a 6 hour train ride away. Victor went out of his way to figure out how to get it all to me. Not 24 hours later I had my passports and all of my cash. I’m so immensely grateful to him for taking the time and urgency to get this to us. Rooms/facilities - the room we had was spacious and the bed was so soft and comfy. The Haveli courtyards are beautiful and the swimming pool is really nice. We spent way too much time in the shaded chairs by the pool jumping in whenever we needed to cool off. Location - it is outside of the fort but that worked really nicely for us. We walked 15 minutes to the fort every morning until it got hot, then took a tuktuk back to eat breakfast at the hotel. Then we’d hang out at the pool all day, then go back to the fort for golden hour, sunset and dinner. Then walk back at night. It was nice to have some separation and quietness at the hotel. Plus walking back was really fun to see the city not just the fort. Food - breakfast was included and really good. Highly recommend masala cheese omelette (masala means mixed in this case - tomato, cilantro, onion and peppers). For lunch we ordered masala papad, cheese naan and mango lassi by the pool - all delicious. We had one dinner at the hotel and shared malai kofta - it was just OK compared to other malai kofta we have had. Overall highly recommend this hotel for your trip to Jaisalmer!
