Okeed Ella

The place is very nice and the view from the terrace is stunning. The host is a very friendly and kind person. The whole family are very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast was a wonderful selection of tasty food. We will definitely go back once day

Kind gentle host and comfortable bed with spare blankets and pillows. A tea station, fridge and plenty of space to unpack. Amazing views from the terrace and a nice breakfast on request. Great value!

Had to request WiFi code would be helpful to have this on arrival but the host was super quick to provide it. No bath matt but I used the space towel so wasn’t an issue.

Fabulous views over the valley below, the trains go by on the circuit into Ella. Great breakfast - lots of fruit. Hot water comes through later in the day as it’s Solar heated. The walk to Ella rock and into Ella is down the steep hill to Kithalella station and along the track - you can board the train from here also.

The host is really nice, amazing view, big glass windows and super clean. Room has a fridge and is quite big, double the size of a normal room. It’s 10 min tuktuk ride from Ella’s center so nice and quiet.

No pressure in the shower, I would give this place a 10/10 if the water issue was fixed !

Just a very cozy room with a very lovely view overlooking Ella! Breakfasts are magic. The owner, Upul, is so friendly and helpful.

Coming back from Ella with tuk-tuk in the evening/dark is a bit of a thrill ride, and just slightly scary because the roads are narrow. Went well though. Wifi was unfortunately on/off.

We really enjoyed our stay. Owner and his family were so kind. We felt like home. Views are stunning and also can enjoy the company of wild animals surrounding.

We loved this property so much! Really comfy big bed, the bedding was clean and fresh. The views from this place are what sold it for it but we booked based on its lovely reviews… the breakfast is delicious. All home made Sri Lankan food and it’s brought to the balcony where you can enjoy the view and listen to the wildlife. The father and son running this place do such a lovely job at making you feel welcome and at home. It’s also a shorter walk to Ella rock trail head from here too which is a bonus. It’s a short tuk tuk ride out of the town centre but we were happy to walk in and get tuk tuks back up as it’s a steep windy road… It’s so worth it for the view, lovely hosts and breakfast !
