This property has a great location, excellent facilities and a superb staff.

Location, location, location and ... everything else was perfect! The property is so beautiful and classic...baccarat chandeliers in every room, rosewood furniture, sterling tea sets, velvet, richly appointed rooms. I felt as if I slipped back to regency England and was staying in a posh home in Mayfair. There are only six guest rooms in a huge property in the absolute best section of Kyoto. The staff was amazing. Our rooms were huge. My bath was stuffed with bespoke beauty products made with rose essential oil. My husband received Hinoki Cypress gifts. I could go on and on. The breakfast was six courses. Our high tea was absolutely stunning. We were seconds from the best shrines, gardens and temples so were able to miss all the crowds. This is the place.

Exceptional service and location! Gorgeous bath tub overlooking Kyoto with a large and spacious room. The building was beautiful and they served delicious cookies. Mizaki or Miyazaki (sorry for spelling error) was AMAZING! She provided exceptional service! The hotel is beautiful. Free drinks in the gorgeous bar were lovely. And we enjoyed the pianist very much. The location adjacent to the park was phenomenal. But the service was key! They arranged private transportation to the Osaka airport which was their recommendation and a lifesaver!

Needs an espresso machine in room and breakfast should be buffet style so we can eat when hungry. We were forced to schedule a time to eat and then arrived late due to getting lost and couldn’t even get a croissant or cup of coffee at 10:45am. Also, you have to get up early for everything in Kyoto due to crowds and they need to have coffee and pastries available early. Coffee shops in Kyoto open late.

Breakfast and service was amazing- especially in the dining room- Yamamoto and his staff and Mitzico the customer service supervisor were all above expectations
