The family is so incredibly nice! And she makes the best Indian breakfast and thali. Really enjoyed it! 🙏🏻

"Excellent hosts. Very basic accomodation"

5.0

Close to the fort. Excellent host. Lovely delicious food. Very friendly family. Great fireside banter at night. Made to feel very welcome.

Toilet shower facilities below standard. Hard to see why this aspect wasnt highlighted by previous guests. Toilet and shower are essentially in the same room as the bed, which wasnt ideal. I slept with the door open all night for fresh air. Basic would best describe the accomodation. It didnt meet with my basic standards and spending more money might be a better option for the traveller with higher expectations. Maybe I'm too fussy. Maybe you are too.

"Rustic Charm and Warm Hospitality: A Memorable Stay!"

10.0

Staying at this lovely family guest house was a truly exceptional experience. The converted elephant stable, while basic, added a rustic charm to our stay. What truly made it unforgettable was the welcoming family. We not only enjoyed good food but also formed a genuine connection, making our evenings around the fire truly memorable. Highly recommended for a unique and heartwarming getaway!

"Absolutely perfect!"

10.0

This is a fabulous place to stay!! The best place we’ve stayed in our time in India. Raj and his family are all delightful, so welcoming and kind. They helped sort a guide for the palace and fort and would have helped us with any of our needs. The food was absolutely amazing - you must stay here for dinner too! The accommodation is basic but absolutely fits the description of what they say it is, and for the amazing price it’s what you’d expect! An absolute must stay in Bundi!

Nothing!

"The reviews were very misleading"

1.0

It’s very close to the palace.

Very dirty. No duvet cover and blankets were dirty and very small. This is where I started to get sick because it was so cold and the blankets so small. They will manipulate you and show you a horrible room and then show you the one you actually booked and ask for more money. I booked the “deluxe” same as the pictures but they took me to a dungeon room first. I didn’t find the family that nice actually. I’m very confused by the rating and previous reviews. Also, there will be guides for the palace sitting and having tea at this place and they will quote you a higher price. And then when you get to the gate they will tell you a lower price. I think the prices should be the same as say the Amber Palace in Jaipur. Just a lot of manipulation. Highly not recommend. You should pay a few more dollars and find a place clean and not manipulative.

Really nice rustic place with character 👌. Lovely family. The owner is attentive, helpful, and friendly. Located at the heart of the town from which you can walk to all the attractions. Hot shower. Nice breakfast. Love the yard, too. The room had lovely decoration.

For the price, I can't complain! It was a lovely stay.

Location was great, room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed! The family that runs this place was even more exceptional, with a welcoming and kind spirit. I would also recommend you try the excellent thali (best we’ve had so far in India). Overall, great place and great people - definitely come here if you want your money’s worth in Bundi :)

Nothing, everything was great.

"Welcoming, enriching and a one in a million experience."

10.0

Neema, Raj and their children Ayushi and Bhivika were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough to welcome and help us. The chai tea made in Neema’s kitchen was the best we had in India and the food was also amazing. She let us observe her cooking several dishes and we learned lots of great recipes and techniques. Neema is also a guide and can take you through the palace and fort (right next to and above the accommodation) for a small fee. We spent nearly 3 hours with her on the tour and learned lots. The rooms are very old and in a historic building, so have some quirks (like very hard beds), but being taken in as a part of this family was totally worth it. Ayushi did some beautiful henna for us and Raj took our son on his motorbike to purchase something for the best price at the markets. He also showed us some traditional Indian treatment for an injured foot and bandaged it up. There is a large enclosed yard at the property and the gates are shut at night so it is a secure place to let kids run around. And of course, cows outside the gates every morning. A very rewarding experience to stay at Raj and Neema’s place. We hope to be back one day! Thanks for the wonderful stay.
