Haveli Elephant Stable

The location is brilliant, right in the centre of town and built into the walls of the palace. Hosted by fantastic people who make you feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive. The home cooked Thali is the best we have had in India and the portion sizes are huge. Really good to meet other travelers and very well set up to socialise in the evenings over dinner. Hot water available and rooms are really well designed with paintings on the walls. For the price you pay this is up there with the best value you will find and was easily our favourite stay in India so far.

The family hosts are simply wonderful, kind and helpful. The food was some of the very best I have had in 6 weeks of travelling including expensive hotels. Good hot shower and location perfect. This is real India and fantastic value. No one pushing to sell you stuff and rip you off. I highly recommend. It is fairly basic but delightful.

I wish I had more time there to enjoy and relax!

So nice to stay at a family place where you can not only converse with them but also with other travellers + very well located in Bundi + excellent food and good value for money! Unbeatable!!!

Nothing - it was really an experience as we expected

Location. Raj, Neema and family. Shower. Wi-Fi. Spacious room. Cost. Other guests were wonderful during our stay.

Mattress just too thin for us. We are a couple and I did ask for towels and was supplied with only one small towel. Sheet on mattress but nothing to cover us with. Asked for another sheet and was only given one that was enough for one person. Had to use a sarong as having asked once didn’t want to trouble again. All seemed a little strange that these things weren’t supplied and seemed difficult to accommodate when asked.

The family hosting us were phenomenal, great attention and warm hospitality. The food is great too!

Great location with the added bonus of knowing that you’re sleeping in a former elephant stable. Don’t expect luxury but that isn’t the point of a stay here.

Excellent location. Everything is walking distance and you are right next to the fort. Our room was clean and decorated with pretty murals. It is a safe place to stay with a friendly family. It is a good place to relax in Bundi. We would stay here again.

The family is very kind and their hospitality is amazing. They offer fresh home cooked healthy food with their delicious homemade achaar. Perfect location in Bundi. Very economical and comfortable stay.
