Matsunoki-tei

The location was good. The price was okay.

Cleanliness was not up to the mark. The blower was not working.

We stayed twice, always for one night only. The accommodation itself is a bit old, but in good condition. However, the owner is probably the nicest owner we've ever encountered during our travels and makes you fall in love with the place. We also had breakfast at the property, which was delicious! There's a shared bathtub, which is also really nice.

Nothing! Only be careful when going outside of season - there are only maybe 2 buses a day.

The room is big and clean. The location is quite near to the station but it is a slope up so beware if you carry heavy luggage. The guy at the reception was so friendly and helpful. I will back if I'm coming only in winter but not summer.

We visit on the summer time because we plan for mountain hiking but the room have no air-conditioned. I know this is the place for people to ski on winter but it is so so so HOT in the room. We can't really sleep at night as the heat is still in the room at night even outside weather is turning cooler.

The couple running the place were so kind and hospitable to us. Despite the language barrier, they were very welcoming and even gave us recommendations for where to eat since many stores were closed for the summer season. Our room was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed sleeping on the futon with tatami mats. The shower and bath were also relaxing after a long day out.

It was perfect. A short walk from the bus stop with an uphill slope but it is manageable.
