Great location and the staff was super friendly. Jay helped us with booking different tours in advance as well as arranged transfer from the airport directly to the hotel.

The place was noticeably a little old, but it worked fine. I would have liked for the towels to be changed everyday day and the sheets maybe once during our four-night stay without asking.

Best receptionist we have ever met! Jay, the receptionist, offered us a great sunset tour including kayaking. And it was absolutely beautiful! He is so friendly and helps wherever he can! Regarding the accommodation: the bed is comfortable, the bed linen is super soft, the bathroom is clean, the rooms are nicely furnished with plenty of storage space. The location is perfect for exploring the area by scooter. The staff are very friendly. It is absolutely recommended!

Having a great stay here. I keep adding days. Jay, the local manager has been so helpful. I rolled in not knowing exactly what I would be doing. Within 20 minutes I was booked on a night kayak to experience the Phosphorescent plankton. But it turned into a great adventure with about 10 people boating out into long ha bay. Kayaking around at sunset, great meal under campfire, and then the night paddle. The next day I was hooked onto an excellent day trip deeper into long ha which included a kayak trip and a swim to monkey island. Thanks Jay

We had a lovely stay at Cat Ba Violet Hotel. It’s in an excellent location and the rooms are super modern and clean. The staff are so helpful and amazing, thank you Jay for making our trip so lovely! Great value for money and we would 100% stay again.

Location was really central to Cat Ba town with everything within walking distance. Jay was an amazing host that helped us arrange two activities: the Lan Ha Bay tour and the night kayaking with bioluminescent plankton. Both were unbelievable and would definitely recommend. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the room was spotless with all the facilities you need for a trip to Cat Ba.

Yo, Jay at Cat Ba Violet Hotel was on point, treating us like fam even though he wasn't the boss. He hooked us up with smooth rides from Hanoi airport and dropped some helpful knowledge, even sorting out a private whip when public transport was wack due to the low season and Tet shindigs. My bad for not clocking the timing, but Jay had my back, making sure everything was smooth sailing, going above and beyond the norm. Word to the wise, do your homework on seasons to avoid any dead spots. Overall, Jay's hustle leveled up the vibe at Cat Ba Violet Hotel big time.

Jay, the manager was incredibly helpful and resourceful. Breakfast was great. Room was musty smelling because of the humidity. A good central spot on Cat Ba island for sightseeing and taking advantage of its beautiful nature.

We loved our time at Cat Ba Violet hotel. The room was so spacious, the bed and pillow so comfortable. The breakfast was delicious We also appreciated the laundry service and the transportation Jay arranged for us from Hanoi to Cat Ba and from Cat Ba to Ninh Binh. We also got a tour of Lan Ha bay booked through the hotel, which was really fantastic Locatian was amazing !!! Highly recommend !!!!

We were able to check in early. Jay was a great host. He was always willing to help and we were able to book tours through him. He had suggestions to help us save money as well. The room was comfortable.

Everything was great. Only thing was the extra blanket in the closet had a couple stains on it although it appeared washed.
