Location, staff were exceptional , public areas

Nothing it was a perfect stop off

The food was excellent better than we expected the staff were very helpful and the room was quiet with a great view.

There was nothing we diddent like

I love the location, and being able to enjoy the wide views of Cumbrian fells from the hotel. The design of the building's interior is lovely.

Most of the staff seem really lovely, but I think there is a problem with staff training. It took 50 minutes from sitting down to dinner to the arrival of our meals, and we were told that 'there's only one member of staff here who is trained to take your order', the member of staff in question couldn't be found for some time while we waited. It was frustrating for us (and probably staff) to see tables being cleared etc while we still waited to give our order. We wondered if we'd just been really unlucky, but I'd have to say that breakfast the next morning was a bit haphazard too.

Comfy bed and great location for motorway and access to Tebay.

Didn’t have breakfast. Like the location

Didn’t like view of car park. On previous visits I was at the back of the hotel with a view of the moors. Was disappointed though accept someone has to have car park facing rooms

Location & dog friendly

A little over priced for comfortable but basic room

Breakfast varied food, much choice. Location is whet I expected in the lake district
