Aelius Hotel and Spa

Very good location, close to the sea. Clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed. Good breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Ωery close to the main road to Heraklion and the airport

The wifi in the room was not good, to the point that it didn't work at all and internet browsing was done with data. There is no desk and work chair, so not suitable for business travel.

From start to finish, this hotel was excellent. The welcome and the continued service from all staff members, the food, the cleanliness of the place. Every aspect of our holiday was fantastic.

Coming home!

Super nice staff, nice food, nice room, nice pool. We had a great time. Greek food like from a Greek mama made us feel at home as much as the welcoming behavior of every employee we came in contact with. The hotel has a nice young vibe. I would like to note that I have seen some former guests complain the hotel is “too far from the beach” which is really not true, it also isn’t a 20minutes walk as someone mentioned (they probably stopped for an ice cream and then a beer so that must have been why it took them 20 minutes to get there), it’s like 5 minutes walk and hotel offers a shuttle bus for people with small kids or the ones that apparently have some phobia of walking.

Hotel is under the landing route to HER airport so you hear planes a lot but it didn’t ruin our stay or sleep.

The private pool.

The cockroaches in the bathroom, the cheap furniture and dated rooms. Awful dry food and watered down drinks. Smelly bathroom, rude staff. No beach towels. Located in the middle of nowhere but easy connections to Heraklion.
