The tranquility of the area. It was a great catch up with friends.

First impressions on arrival is its a lovely hotel. Well maintained. Every member of staff was pleasant and polite.

Please note we're not moaners, I just feel people need to know what to expect and how things are at Duck Bay Hotel before making a booking. We couldn't believe how small the room was for the price. There literally isn't anywhere to open your case apart from on the bed. The walls in the rooms are so thin you can hear the conversation in the next room. The room was very warm but we were unable to leave the door open due to the next comment. The final straw came when the people in a room along the corridor decided to have a loud conversation that went on for a few hours. We tried to get the attention of these people by calling across the balcony but they couldn't make ourselves heard. We tried to call reception but got no reply. When we expressed our concerns in the morning, we were told "sorry" but the night porter has to do rounds!! The menu said a-la-cart, where in fact it was an up market fast food menu. Im saying this as it arrived literally 5mins after ordering (as did everyone else's) Its a shame you can't walk inside from the accommodation to the bar/restaurant (you have to walk outside & round the corner)

Die Lage am See, die Nähe zu den Top-Wanderungen und das Essen im Restaurant waren sehr gut. Parkplätze waren genügend vorhanden.

Leider sind die Zimmer schon recht klein. Wir haben Koffer im Auto gelassen. Wir sind schon ca. 5 Wochen unterwegs, so viele Nebenbedingungen im Vertrag, 50 £ Kaution, die erst nach 1-2 Tagen zurücküberwiesen wurden und eine Erinnerung, dass das Zimmer weitervermietet wird, wenn nicht das Zimmer vorab bezahlt wird, obwohl alles bezahlt war, hat uns befremdet. Es hatte sich aber alles geklärt und nichts steht aus.
