Duck Bay Hotel & Restaurant

Duck Bay was a last minute booking for us as our previous accommodation had a broken boiler so we had to move on. The location was lovely, standard double with views of the Loch were great if you were tall and able to look over the property roof. We found the room very small, small bed and not much space around. Walk-in shower was nice but no space for toiletries in bathroom. Seating areas in and out on balcony were comfortable. The highlight for us was staff service from front desk to restaurant and breakfast (two different locations). Our evening meal, given a table on the window with views over the loch, great Sunday roast and table service was excellent. Similarly with breakfast, lovely attentive staff, good selection, basic cooked breakfast in room price was sufficient but if you wanted more you had to pay an additional cost.

Small room and very thin walls. Clearly hear neighbours talking and corridor noise as well.

Room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Great location.

Some of the restaurant food was not exceptional for the price - deep fried food looked expensive

Staff were excellent and very friendly, room clean and modern a little on the small side, breakfast was excellent. Will definitely be back.

We ordered a round of drinks and cakes in the cafe we received the cakes but after 45mins asked about the drinks we reordered and was told the original order was lost, my father paid the bill and the next morning told me he thought he was charged for the drinks we did not receive, I went to the cafe next morning and the Manager apologised and refunded the money excellent service from the Manager.

Expensive and £40 for early check in

The restaurant food was excellent, the decor was beautiful, and the atmosphere was highly pleasant. The included breakfast was amazing with a menu choice, including a full Scottish breakfast; plus a self-service coffee machine and a great variety of drinks. Additionally, the room and toilet were very clean, and the lake views were excellent.

Nothing at all, I honestly couldn't ask for more.
