Duck Bay Hotel & Restaurant

Suite was spacious and led on to a patio with glorious views of Loch Lomond. Very comfortable bed. excellent breakfast.

Minor point, but the room could do with either a cooler or small fridge to store water especially as our summers are warmer. Also the bathroom /shower toiletries could be improved eg no shower cap , only small bottles of body wash etc

Room 30 was small with virtually no storage and had a restricted view this after paying extra for a loch view. The lower half of the window was obstructed by a wall and glazed panel was fogged with condensation. When booking a table for dinner, some weeks before my trip, I asked for a window seat, i was told this was allocated on a first come basis. On arrival at the restaurant, there were window tables available i asked i could have one of the options but was refused, on asking why, the staff member became quite confrontational and claimed my party was too small, yet there were other couples sitting at prime window seats

Amazing room, cleanliness of the whole hotel exceptional. All staff clearly love their jobs. So so friendly and helpful. Excellent Teamwork is clear at all times. The food in the Restaurant is well priced and delicious. Excellent Breakfast choice and is ordered on arrival to your table. Best hotel we have visited for a long time.

There was nothing to dislike. We had no complaints at all about anything.

Stunning location, rooms and restaurant. The staff were all lovely and couldn’t do enough for you with a smile!

The beds are rock solid. Mentioned this to the receptionist who said they had refurbished with firm beds for longevity but they were so uncomfortable.

As usual excellent service and staff fantastic, l would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family, couldn't fault anything.

Location of hotel on the bank of Loch Lomond is perfect. The retaurant had good view of the Loch if you are sitting by the window and the food was lovely, However there is no access from inside the hotel you have to go outside to get to there, not so good in the cold and rain.

We booked the hotel with the expectation of a good view of the Loch from our room (No. 28) this turned out not to be the case. The sliding patio door leading to a tiny outside space with a table and two chairs was surrounded by a 4/5 foot wall so if you sat down at the table all you see is a brick wall, not the Loch. Standing up you were looking through a narrow gap between the top of this wall and a corrugated tin sheet roof to see a restricted view of the Loch and the far bank, not what we had hoped for by a country mile. The response from the hotel reception was "well you can see the Loch" was so word perfect that I believe that I had not been the only guest to have complained about this misrepresentation. They also claimed that "Booking.com" could be at fault and that they could not control what they (Booking.com) put on their web site, Also the room had not sufficient space to put our cases and a clothes hanging space about 1 foot deep with 5 hangers coupled with nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom so overall the room was claustrophobic but well decorated. We decided to cut short our stay which was a huge dissapointment after travelling from Wales and looking forward so much to the holiday. Our first dissapointing holiday from many visits to Scotland in previous years.

Magical views, beautiful decor, attentive and friendly staff, delicious evening meal and the tastiest breakfast we have ever had in a hotel.

Wanted to sit and enjoy the beautiful views over a drink in afternoon but were put to an area with views of carpark even though the restaurant was very quiet.
