My aim was to have a comfortable base to do some walking around Inkpen. As noted above the Crown and Garter exceeded my expectations.

"Beautifully laid out"

The accommodation was really nice. Well laid out and comfortable. The rooms are set around a pretty courtyard that would have been even better in a month as flowers start to come out more

The room was well appointed and beautifully clean. It was very quiet and very nice to be situated around the courtyard. There was a really good choice of teas, coffee and water. The staff were welcoming.

The drive was rather potholed which was tricky in the rain
