"Lovely place with great staff."

The staff were very warm and friendly. Couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast on our first morning was outstanding, our second morning was quite poor.

The coffee was very bad. Tv was not a smart tv so no access to netflix or anything to watch a film. Surprising in 2025.

So quiet. For me it was perfect to be surrounded by field and countryside, our room was very spacious and a perfect temperature. The food was DELICIOUS! All the staff were friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome and almost like they had all already met us before.

Nothing particular to be honest - it is a clean basic pub B&B but executed very well - no complaints

"Comfortable, quiet, friendly"

This is our regular place to stay when visiting my elderly parents in Maidenhead and this must have been the fourth or fifth visit. As always, we received a warm welcome and had an excellent stay. The rooms are all a good size (we have stayed in five different ones and they are all the same) with great bathrooms and a very comfortable bed.

We had the cooked breakfast option in the morning, and it's a bit mean that if you want some toast, or a yoghurt or similar, they charge you extra. On a similar, but more substantial vein, we both had the loin of venison for our main course the previous evening. The food was delicious, but if you don't pay an extra £4 for some mashed potatoes, your £24 meal would be the two smallish pieces of venison, an excellent jus and a small spoonful of swede and carrot mash. Hmmm...

It’s in a very pretty setting. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Coffee shop on site sold local produce which was a nice touch.

Poorly lit at night so it was a bit difficult to find.

A lovely tucked-away country hotel and restaurant that has a warm "local" feel. Everywhere is tastefully designed and the staff could not be more friendly. Highly recommended!

I arrived late and the parking was full, not really a complaint (!) but the only 5 seconds that wasn't an absolute joy
