Great location, 2 minutes from park and ride into Whitby. Great food, staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely peaceful sleep.

Really enjoyed our stay, was close to Whitby and the staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast was spot on. Would fully recommend!

A good welcome and efficient check-in to our clean, comfortable and well equipped room. Good evening meal and breakfast. If you get a chance, take a walk up the village to the church - simply stunning views!

"Lack of Cleanliness was an issue"

Nice friendly staff

The room wasn't serviced over the 3 days except for the bin being emptied.?..The cleaner needs to do a better job...it was a twin room the beds were really rickety and mine sloped to one side ?.. The bedding had seen better days too.

"The Forge was really delightful but Whitby very 'touristy'"

We booked the suite so the bed and the room were great. Very busy in the bar but we were well looked after by the lovely staff. We were there on a Sunday so the menu was a little restricted but the food was great.

As the room was on the second floor some help with the luggage would have been appreciated, but the exercise helped the appetite !
