Haweswater Hotel

Excellent location for a walk around the reservoir. Good breakfast. Large room and comfy bed.

The restaurant was very expensive. No lift up the stairs, so may be inaccessible for those with mobility issues.

This hotel is breathtaking and the inhouse restaurant its exceptional. That's not even taking in the views from the property. Very beautiful hotel. Chris the chef on duty the night we stayed made the whole evening he was charming and chatted to us before service the food was outstanding.

Last time we visited there was music from the relevant time period playing as background music, which added to the ambience in the restaurant during meal times. It didn't spoil our stay, and it isn't a criticism, just an observation. We love the hotel.
