Loved everything about The Taybank! The gorgeous breakfast hamper, live music in the downstairs bar, lovely restaurant, lazy walks along the riverbank, super friendly staff, simple but cozy rooms.

Although the property has free parking for hotel guests, you couldn't guarantee getting a spot (if another guest parked awkwardly). Perhaps the parking bays could be marked?

"Amazing hotel in a magical town."

10.0

What an amazing place. The town is lovely, the hotel is amazing, full of details, amazing staff, incredible food. We spent some days traveling around Scotland and for sure, Dunkeld is a most and the taybank was our favourite hotel for the entire journey!!

"Lovely large apartment"

10.0

Gorgeous apartment. Spacious. Beautifully decorated. Beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was spectacular.

The apartment is in a completely different building than the hotel. You lose a little charm because of that.

"Boutique hotel, no access for disabled guests."

6.0

We were there with our son and his fiancé. An overnight stay as they were off to the Land Rover experience the next day. As it was lovely weather we sat in the garden area and had a light lunch. Dinner at night was superb.

Access. I need a walking stick due to arthritis in my spine. It didn’t state on their web site (major omission) that there wasn’t a lift and the room we booked (most expensive one) was in the attic. I really struggled with help but realised I wouldn’t be going anywhere until dinner as couldn’t do the stairs again. The manager was able to find a young couple on the first floor who swapped rooms with us which was extremely kind of them. We paid for the best room and the room we moved to was less expensive but no discount offered. Breakfast was poor - no choice, delivered in a picnic basket to outside the door - and much of it wasn’t what we would normally eat in the morning. If I hadn’t managed to work out how to use the kettle (no instructions) we wouldn’t have had a hot drink with our croissants.

Cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff, made us feel like staying with friends. Beautiful location right by the river in a lovely historic town. We only stayed one night, while passing through on the way to Inverness, but we had an excellent dinner and a traditional live music session at the bar to round out a perfect evening. The breakfast in the sun the next morning convinced us that we will need to come back one day.

"Heaven by the river."

9.0

Breakfast is pretty basic but the quality of the ingredients is excellent. The decor is so lovely and thoughtfully down! The location of this inn is spactacular and the little riverside pub across the street is heaven.

its a definite type of property so I don't want to diss it for things that are part of its identity - like a gorgeous bathtub that is is from an Architectural Digest photoshoot but could not possibly be entered by anyone over the age of 50! ha! It's OK - I don't take baths anyhow. The food was excellent but the minimal number of servers seemed overwhelmed on the night we were there. All that said, Id love to go back -

"Beautiful but challenging"

8.0

We had a spacious room with an amazing shower and tub. It's right across from the River Tay with a beautiful view!

We weren't aware that we would need to climb multiple flights of stairs to access our room. Since we both have some knee problems, this was not easy for us. Additionally, there was no television, no hair dryer, and the bed was not very comfortable.
