The Isles of Glencoe Hotel

The staff were friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable. It was lovely having use of the heated pool.

Nothing- thoroughly enjoyed our stay - would certainly recommend and go again.

Location, good size room, views

This hotel is very scruffy, the pool area looks glam on photos however its more like a council run pool and anyone is allowed in. The bar area carpet is a disgrace and dangerous, its so badly fitted its a trip hazard. We had our dog with us and on arrival the reception staff wanted to charge us £30 a night which on booking.com it only said charges may apply so this was wavered. At other hotels we have only been charged £15 a night which is plentiful. I do understand charges for a dog however in this hotel the staff course more damage than a dog. The cleaning staff have no respect for the hotel, they abuse walls and skirting boards with equipment so therefore adding to this already tired looking hotel, in the dinning area as they took dirty pots away they kicked open the kitchen door everytime on entry, it look awful particularly in an evening when you are having not a cheap meal. Areas of the bedroom are dirty around the floor area. And this hotel still uses shower curtain which is grim, the bathroom lighting is terrible. The breakfast is also not that great with dried up offering if you want a,full Scottish. The toasting machine is also useless, on the first go its slightly done on the second round its practically burnt. Well over priced per night for this standard of hotel. In need of a refit. Like someone said on a previous review ( Don't bother )

Nice location and views across the loch

Car parking is all gravel, and the hotel is a bit tired. Also the staff didn't clear the tables we sat down on a table with someone's empty glasses which weren't cleared even after we ordered bar snacks. Which was a little disappointing.

The location was great for exploring the area. The view from our room was of Loch Leven and very lovely.
