The Alverbank Hotel

Really good location and nice building/facilities. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

We were looking forward to breakfast but the chef didn’t start till 8:30 and we had to leave at 7:30 to catch a ferry. I purposely searched for accommodation including breakfast as dad is diabetic and I feel like it should state on booking that it would be as late as 8:30 - 09:00 before you can eat but I could have missed it 🤷‍♂️ When checking in reception asked if we would like some croissants leaving which would have been nice but didn’t happen so left hungry and had to pay for breakfast elsewhere.

The choice of breakfast was fantastic. The previous reviews have been listened too, by all accounts. The staff went above and beyond and we would stay again. The room met our needs and the bed was comfortable

We got locked out as we came back late; this was no fault of the hotel, and they came to our aid quickly.

A beautiful hotel, set within a wonderful location overlooking the solent. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they went above and beyond to enjoy and enjoyable stay. Fabulous food too and very clean and a very comfortable nights stay.

The room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed. There are just six rooms and it was nice and quite. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome.

The room could of been a bit larger, especially the toilet/shower room, which was pretty small, so as it felt like you were going into the wardrobe

The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The food, both dinner and breakfast, were good.

Some of the furniture in the bedroom was starting to show its age, e.g. missing laminate on bedside table.
