De Charm Hạ Long Hotel

This place felt dodgy and weird from the beginning. As we arrived, an employee got out of a car that was parked near the entrance and approached us and asked us to follow him to next hotel next door. Both hotels have the sign of De charm hotel, but it’s been covered from the original name which it has nothing to do with this name. You could clearly see the name of the hotel was different. As we arrived, the manager was laying down on the couch… then offered us transfer for our cruise the next day and suggested to go 2 hours before ( when is 20 min away) clearly just because it was convenient for them as they were the ones driving! Also bed was dirty we found insects on them , bathroom needs an uplift.

The rooms were fine size. I think, I left my charger in the room and I was allowed to look for it, without success tho.

I don’t know where to start. I was really unhappy about the stay. The staff was rude, we had early check in at 12 from booking, one of the receptionist said that we need to wait until 14, there is no room read. When I showed booking confirmation, apparently the room was ready. They tried to make us pay twice. They charged us 3% fee for paying by card, there was no pre notice about that. We had dirty sheets and pillows. The location is horrible, everywhere is far away. We needed to walk for 45 minutes to get to the city centre. There are almost no restaurants near by.
