location beautiful (but access slightly constricted by ferry times). View from window was brilliant. the welcome was excellent and the owner and barman very welcoming. the evening meal was good (but breakfast not good enough). huge selection of drinks with knowledgeable barman and a comfortable place to sit to enjoy it.

I didn't like the shower. the water flow was good but the shower head was high on wall and kept falling off and the flow was painful to me. A better showerhead is needed - rainfall please. No fruit or yogurt at breakfast. insufficient choice of cereal - variety would be good. jam was poor quality.

Our third stay, and as perfect as ever. The staff particularly were welcoming and attentive. Nothing is too much hassle, and we felt very at home. Food was excellent, and we had such a relaxing stay. Already booked to return!

We stayed on the Isle of Bressay which is a 7 minute ferry trip across the Sound to Lerwick. It was a little different and for us, very pleasant staying in the country side and looking across to Lerwick. The breakfasts were fantastic, the staff friendly, the room we had was very comfortable, clean, and excellent facilities and a wonderful sea view to across to Lerwick

Nothing to do with the property, but omg, it was a shock to see a massive cruise ship anchored in the middle of the Sound when we woke up on our last day. I don’t know how the locals put up with it, as the locals seem divided as to whether or not it is worth anything to them but disruption. Apparently, there is not a lot of money spent in the shopping area from the Cruise Ships.

If you know you know! This is gem in the Shetlands. Do ‘t let the plain outwardly appearance of this hotel fool you. Inside it’s delightful, with clean, modern rooms , comfortable beds and excellent cooking. with the hosts extremely friendly and welcoming. The best seafood and Lobster around ! There is also an extensive whisky bar!

Excellent room (room 1) with harbour view. Great food and friendly staff.

I can’t think of a single thing I didn’t like.

Great Location, wonderful rooms, very friendly (!) staff and excellent food. One of the best place on the Shetland Isles! We love to come back again!
