GBLarge, quiet, comfy retro bedroom. Good breakfast buffet. Very good public areas and peaceful surrounds. Plenty of free parking.
The ensuite was tired and the shower was cold (Bath was OK) and the loo did not flush properly all of which was reported to reception on check-out who said they would report the defects to the maintenance team
GBThe location is perfect for the horse racing at Newbury. The traffic is no problem. The room is no e and spacious. Evening meals is very good.
The breakfast choice is a bit restricted. Only 3 or 4 cereal choices. Just fried egg with the cooked breakfast. No compote and/or fresh yoghurt with the cereals. This time I had room 207 and the Internet reception was not always good. The room is quite a distance away from reception.

GBThe pool was good. The room was excellent and a pleasant surprise given the corridor carpets. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was just right and very tasty.
The whole hotel looks and feels tired. Fixtures and fittings have been repaired and replaced poorly. Others are worn. It needs a revamp but I guess that would depend on footfall.

GBGBComfy room with lots of space . Clean and tidy and everything we needed. Lovely cleanliness throughout the hotel. Clean carpets in room.
Not enough toiletries and tea bags etc left in room. Some of the lighting didn't work. Ie floor lamp and desk lamp. Sofa was a little worn.
