GBI stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and I paid in advance for the 3 nights. Two days after returning home I was contacted by Booking.com to say that I was being charged for a " no show". I spoke to the hotel and they agreed that that I had stayed at the hotel. 3 days later I find that £84 was taken out of my account without my authority..
GBLocation was good and off centre so a quiet location. .A good swimming pool.
Staff generally off hand especially in the dining room. probably too little staff for the job. It is a surprise to be asked 'are you done? when they want to remove a plate from the table The room was tired, no air conditioning and noise from adjacent rooms kept me awake till midnight as everyone had windows open during to the heat. The bedside light was a fire hazard and then slip bath mat had not been cleaned underneath and was a safety hazard in the bath.

A room with no air con, when they have air con rooms vacant, it has been the hottest day in May. No drinking water in the rooms, the shower dribbles out water, the windows in my room are broken and I have removed two spiders from the bedroom so far! I asked to change rooms and they asked for an additional £40 per night!! Do NOT book here it is probably the worse hotel I have stayed in, in the UK!! It is not worth the money! You can get a better room in many other hotels in the area for similar or less in price. Also you can see that two months ago the jacuzzi and the lift were not working-well that hasn’t been fixed either-they still DO NOT work!! I am super disappointed that I have booked this place! Have moved to a different hotel for my second night.

The jacuzzi didn't work.One of the lifts was out of order.We had ants in our bedroom.I paid for a deluxe room initially and was then told I could have an accessible room with walk in shower as I have thrombosis and arthritis,when we got to the room it was still a shower over bath,we only stayed three nights and had a different bedroom every night.Eventually we got a nice room for one night as we were going home the next day.

Unfortunately no AC and on the 3rd floor it was sweltering. The stand up fan did nothing. The lift was not working

GBReception staff lovely and did all they could to help us. We had been booked at the Mercury Newbury hotel who had cancelled at the last minute so had to find a hotel urgently as we were due at a family funeral 45 minutes later so we were very thankful
