Bahia del Sol Beach front Boutique Hotel

This hotel is right on the beach. Its a dark sand beach, but very long, uncrowded and nice place to stroll/hang out. The food at the restaurant was good/no complaints. I did not eat any of the steaks, but apparently the owner has them shipped in and they are supposedly very good. The Lanscape in the report was lush and tropical. It is located right in town and there are a few bars and restaurants to walk to. There isn't a lot going on in the area, making it pretty quiet and relaxing. I felt very safe at the hotel and outside in the town/on the beach.

As others have stated, the rooms are a bit tired, but they were clean and comfortable (and large). I was there for work and did not end up spending a whole lot of time hanging out at the pool or on property, but it given the remote location, there wasn't a lot going on and if you want to expl0ore count on diving a bit. I would not hesitate to stay here again but probably would not select this general area if on vacation.

The staff were extremely friendly. The facilities and location are beautiful. My daughter and I had a peaceful, relaxing vacation.

The location was excellent and you do feel tucked into a little jungle area with lots of foliage. we loved the convenience of the pool/beach and had good food at the restaurant.

The room was okay - it could have been just a little cleaner, there were some burned out lightbulbs and a few amenities missing (extra pillows, blankets). we had a surprising amount of street noise from somewhere pretty late which I was surprised by.

We loved the location– right on the beach! Taco was always checking in on us, making sure we had everything we needed and making suggestions. He really made our stay personalized and friendly and went above and beyond.

If you don’t claim your lounger in the shade by sunrise you may be stuck in a sunny spot for the day. They could definitely use more shaded area options for lounging. Local authentic live music would have been fun to experience there. Great setting for it.

The resort had everything we needed, beachfront, food. Down the street 2 minutes was the best Indian food (and I have lived in India - it was really good!). The highlight for us were the massages - Paola was the best massage therapist! I saw her three days in a row. She was so attuned to my body, it was a very healing experience. She was so kind to me. I have had massages all over the world, and this was one of the best I ever received. My partner also saw Paoloa two days in a row and he agreed - Paola is a STAR! Thank you so much. Breakfast buffet was nice, as was all the food.

Food timings in the restaurant was confusing. Sometimes certain things on the menu were not available. One waiter said no this is not available until dinner time; but another waiter said sure i can order that for you now.. not a huge deal, but a little inconsistent. Food was delicious by the way.

The breakfest was decent but the same every day. The yoga and yoga room and beach and pool were great

Of the 3 nights we were there - there is super loud bands and karaoke clubs right next to our hotel for 2 nights that was so crazy loud coming right into our room. We had 8 rooms ( and spent $5500 plus ) for our yoga retreat group and half said they could not sleep and it was crazy loud . Maybe the hotel has no control but when i complained they did not offer anything, no other rooms to move us to , no dinner no nothing for comphensation. Then our toilet overflowed and when i told them at the front desk i also told them we had 0 other toilet paper in the room and would love new toilet paper and the rooms ( we had 2 rooms in our apartment but no extra rolls ! ) to be cleaned they said no problem. When we got back they had fixed the toilet but still no toilet paper and no cleaning done.
