beautiful little private cabin, away from the noise of town, lovely outdoor style bathroom, and great friendly staff. some nice restaurants nearby!

a bit far from town if you’re walking like I was, but certainly possible. about 30min down to the ocean.

The place looks recently renovated which is nice. The cabin is also large, clean and with aircon. In front of the cabin is a good looking shared garden with mini pool. Also a shared space with kitchen for having breakfast or cook your own meal.

Everyday 5AM there is a loud wake-up call by the mosque. Was un-expected since bali is mostly hindu. I think the owner should inform guests about this. Also their dog simba is so aggressive when someone arrives by scooter, I was scared of the dog.

Wonderful chill area and kitchen where you can cook, play pool and meet other travellers. Really good value for your money.

A dormitory to stay! There are only couples rooms.

Okay value for money, location is out of the way so nice and quiet (besides the dogs barking occasionally, but property is pet friendly so expected). There's also a fridge so you can keep your drinks cold. Scooter rentals are available on site and are in good condition. Pool table on site also which we loved and played many games on. Hot water didn't work initially but the issue was resolved the same day. Good for a short stay.

Beds were very springy, not so comfortable. Kitchen was very dirty and we wouldn't want to use it to cook.

I enjoyed my stay at Ayu & Markus place. Both were really friendly and I felt like home from the start. I can really recommend to stay here if you are coming to medewi.

Thank you Ayu and Markus for being such great hosts - responsive and making you feel well taken care of. Ayumar homestay is a property that's simple, no-frills, but incredibly cosy (hard not to feel at home just after 1 night), and has a great sense of community! Lovely doggos and a family of orange cats as well :)

The place is lovely, clean and isolated but still close enough to town and surf break. Host is very friendly and helpful.

When the dogs were unattended they could be very agitated and loud. However, they are very friendly dogs. It’s hard to cool down the entire bungalow with the room air con.

we liked everything. Ayu is a super host, she’s laid back, helpful and kind. The twin rooms are simple but comfy and the open kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook a nice meal.
