Ayumar Homestay Medewi

One of the most beautiful homestays I’ve stayed in! Scooters with surf racks could be rented directly from the owner. Lush garden with a cool plunge pool as well as kitchen and common area was an absolute plus. Very friendly owner and staff.

The big kitchen was good.

The steep ladder to the bed is scary at 3am, the small bed on the floor in the roof wasn't great and the pool was a strange grey colour, the filter needs looking at and it needs a good clean. The air-conditioning is not powerful enough for the villa.

It is a nice place , in middle of nature, close to restaurants. You can also use the shared kitchen to prepare your own food. The wooden house we rented also had a nice hammock outside.

The wifi works but not stable enough to really do a lot of work or watch a movie - & you can hear the prayers quite loudly early morning and during the day. We stayed in one of the wooden houses and the front was glass but because it was in front of the kitchen , we had to close the curtains it if we wanted some privacy which ment that it was very dark inside. On the back side the hut is open without wall which gives a nice jungle feel because you are in front of plants but also happened that I was ready for a shower and there were two farmers working there which who I made eye contact with so that’s not comfortable at all.

Beautiful garden , lovely caretaker Cynthia is a gem , the host were lovely , Ayumar (the owner) has beautiful energy ! Beautiful building structure

The mosque goes off , a lot .. two mosques infact, And the poor internet.

The staff was super friendly and made us feel comfortable. Even for someone who is really afraid of dogs the staff made sure I felt at ease during our stay.

The bed was not super comfy and you might wake up around 5am because of the Islamic chants

Beautiful quiet location, off the beaten track, very chilled. Super lovely people running it, very friendly and happy to help with anything.

Little bit of a walk to the beach, but can hire scooters
