Comfortable and convenient. Staff very nice

Lovely staff, decent sized room and bathroom, easy free parking, great countryside views, handy location for my needs.

Poor cleaning and maintenance, eg old tea/coffee stains on the cup, filthy tea tray, grouting in shower discoloured/mouldy, cracked sink, broken sash window, a block of wood was supplied to prop it open, poor 'continental' breakfast, 1 coffee, 2 toast, one little sachet of jam.

Very good value for money. Every single member of staff were really friendly, extremely helpful from the reception, cleaners to the night staff. Nothing was a problem for them

Breakfast setting could be improved

Absolutely disappointing and far below any acceptable standard. The room had a strong unpleasant smell upon arrival. The floorboards and bed were constantly creaking, making it difficult to relax. The window was damaged and did not close properly, allowing wind to whistle through all night, creating both a cold draft and continuous noise. The bathroom was extremely dirty. There were hairs stuck to the shower drain, and mould and limescale were present throughout the bathroom. The shower was effectively unusable because the water temperature could not be adjusted and remained dangerously hot. Instead of fixing the issue, a Post-it note had been left warning guests to be careful with the hot water. To make matters worse, the TV was not working, no WiFi available. Overall, the property appeared poorly maintained, unhygienic, and neglected. This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have experienced and I would not recommend it.
