Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was wonderful, the dinner was ok.

Our room was soooooo small, it had a terrible smell and the view was awful… we had to keep the blind closed as there was a man on his roof terrace about 15 feet away!!

The reviews I read previously were more or less accurate. The room was small and very difficult due to having to navigate three steps from the bed to the toilet. There was a terrible smell in the room which we thought were the drains. I developed an allergic reaction and couldn't stop sneezing for days after. I suspect this was caused by cleaning products used to disguise the awful smell. On the first evening I ordered monkfish which I was unable to eat. It smelt very strong and was under cooked. I've never returned food before but had to confess that I couldn't eat it when asked how the meal was. I was offered another meal of fish and chips but was told very sternly and loudly that I would have to pay for both meals. In the end we weren't charged for the meal, but at the time I felt very embarrassed by the whole incident. I have eaten monkfish twice since without an issue. Parking was difficult but we were there during an arts festival.

Parking in the village was somewhat of a nightmare

I have tried all day to book DB&B at this hotel. I have been misled by several people, let down by their website and eventually stonewalled by their General Manager. She wanted an extra 50 pounds over the price they quoted three hours earlier. They ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Excellent stay with a dog. Very inclusive and welcoming environment especially towards the dog who we regard as a much loved member of our family. Room clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Food was excellent and delicious - both evening meal and breakfast. Good value - a hidden gem! Alnmouth is a beautiful location. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Located in the in the centre of Almouth, conveniently located for the beach. Clean and well maintained. Friendly and welcoming staff. A good selection of food both for evening meal and breakfast. Welcoming of dogs. A lovely comfortable dog bed and box of welcome treats for the dog in the room. A lovely touch.

Ate in the restaurant, the service was good and the cheese souffle was excellent, sadly the mains let the whole experience down. The few chips were rock hard and had clearly been re heated. The fish was greasy . Maybe we ordered the wrong course but not impressed.
