Everyone in the hotel is extremely nice 😊 obviously there’s always insects in the room, but you go to a National Park so it’s understandable and the mosquito net sorts it all for a good night sleep. They look very well after the surroundings of the rooms, all is looked after and beautiful!!

Location was perfect for us since we were coming from the Lost City Trek, but I wouldn't recommend for anyone to stay here unless it's under the same conditions. If you're going to the Tayrona Park you better stay at a camp or somewhere near the beaches.

The staff was not welcoming and there's nothing to do in the hotel rather than rest from a long walk. A lot of stairs and it's not prepared for people in wheelchairs.

It's a simple but beautiful place with a very homey feel, which is exactly what me and my partner were looking for. The location is excellent, approx 1km walking from the entrance of the park. The views are breathtaking, and waking up to the sounds of all kinds of birds and monkeys has been wonderful. The hosts were very caring, attentive and flexible with all of our needs, and the meals (we had breakfast and dinner at the Mirador) were fresh and absolutely delicious. The attention overall could not have been better.

I had a fantastic stay here at Mirador del Parque Tayrona. As all the previous reviews say, the hosts were super friendly and very helpful (despite our language barrier!) and create a very welcoming, familiar atmosphere. The rooms are simple and well kept and the view from the rooms are wonderful. We had both sun and storms and both are great to watch from over the tree tops. The rooms are surrounded by vibrant flora and fauna and you can hear howler monkeys off into the distance. Speaking of monkeys, we found the best way to see some of these critters is to walk the road from the hostel into the park, just 10mins down the round we spotted capuchins, cotton-top tamarins and some great birds. A big highlight of our stay was the food, the 'mojarra roja' (tilapia) cooked by the host might be my favourite dish I've had in my month in Colombia. Superb! If I return to the park, I'm staying here again for sure.

Everything, but especially the owner (so friendly, kind and helpful!), location, food (we did half board) and being in the middle of the park with incredible views!

Nothing.

The hostel is located after the entrance to the park (20min walking distance). So u only have to pay the entrance fee once. (But not the insurance.) The hosts and the family are super nice! The dogs are cute! The rooms are located on top of a hill so u have quite a view. The food is good, but a little bit more expensive in comparision to the outside of the park, but all the accommodations have bigger prices when it comes to the food.

A Hammok outside the room would be nice, so u can enjoy the view and the jungle a little bit better. Also no common kitchen. Wifi and electricity was not working through the day only the nigt times and no wifi at the rooms.

The owners were super kind and hospitable. The dinner (fish from the river) cooked by the owner was extraordinary. The view of the accomodation and the experience to sleep on a hill in the rainforest were great. Totally recommendable.

I really didn't. Although the lady who runs it is very sweet.

The photos look NOTHING like reality. It was effectively camping in concrete. I shared my room with some massive bugs. The hike from the road up to the rooms is HUGE and in the heat this is a very sweaty hike even before you start the main hike. Large stairs to and from the toilet in the night so wouldn't advise doing that if you're sleepy. (Plus MASSIVE toads on the paths. I know it's the jungle but if you're afraid then beware!) It is important to realize that this accomodation is only 1km in to the park so you will still have to hike ALL the way back from Cabo San Juan at the end of the day. Both ways in a day in the heat is a lot. You're not saving yourself any walking. It just means you're still in the park next day and can walk back should you wish. In hindsight I could have just done a day trip!
