Durrant House Hotel

Best nights sleep ever, lovely staff, parking available and only a short walk downhill to Bideford.

A bit dated, bathroom needed a lot of TLC, gaffer tape holding edge of shower together, cracked and loose tiles around toilet. Very expensive if you wanted a late check out.

Just returned from a lovely holiday at Durrant House Hotel. The hotel was clean and comfortable with really helpful staff, and a varied choice at meals too. The location is excellent for coach travellers, and bus stops are directly outside the hotel too if you wanted to make your own way to the many places of interest.

Excellent service and professionalism form both reception (Anthony) and R&R Spa (Terri). Great customer care with just the right amount of light heartedness . Well kept reception area. Clean and welcoming Spa area.

The staff were exceptional; bar staff, check in staff, restaurant staff, spa staff

Smart, tidy, good size, comfortable room. Good choice of drinks in the bar. Nice hot powerfull shower.

This is a slightly quirky hotel with the need for upgrades in Wi-Fi and room accessories! But, the location as a base for traveling in Devon is great! The lobby and restaurants are pretty, beautifully furnished. Only one elevator but easily accessible stairs. I especially recommend the staff members. The night porter who came to my room to give me a wake up door knock! Mary, on the front desk who swiftly and efficiently and with a huge smile changed my room AND helped me move my stuff! And most of all, Michelle who runs the front of the eating establishments with brilliant precision, speed, efficiency and a huge smile. She even came out to the bus to see us off! In conclusion, the location and staff readily overcame the slight quirks of this older hotel!

The staff where lovely food was good hotel is old but nice.

The outside of the hotel grass needed cutting flowers needed potting… front of hotel could do with a little tidy looking shabby.
