Durrant House Hotel

Location good, plenty of frequent bus services. Hotel was very cold especially the dining room. Room was satisfactory although cold, bedding was not, pillows and actual duvet smelt , they told me they had been changed after I complained, they still smelt. I had to place a towel and some expensive pillow mist over the area to enable me to sleep. Went with coach company - half board, Food, you had to be in dining room at 8am to order a cooked breakfast, otherwise, it was basic cereal, juice, toast, tea or coffee. Evening meal (not appetising, last night I didn't bother served far too late which made me ill) was ordered at breakfast time and dinner at 7pm, still had to wait. Tea and coffee sachets in room, if you needed more there was a charge of 5p per item, no bottled water in rooms had to be purchased at bar for £4.50. This hotel is not disabled friendly, ramp in main reception and 2 lots of steps down to dining area. The only great thing about this visit was the Spa and the Beautician Rachele, she did a fantastic pedicure on my feet.

Warm friendly helpful receptionist, loved being able to have a bath . Blackout curtains and comfortable bed 🛏️ well rested

Very tired, bed and pillows were hard, dark interior.

That is was pet friendly and had free parking

No basic toiletries, such as mini shampoo and stuff. Bedroom was cleaned but no bedsheets change. Pictures on the website don't actually match the hotel. The swimming pool was dirty, probably not cleaned for week. Couldn't be used.

Staff very nice . Rooms have been refurbished .

Hotel is a little dated . There was no sort of soap dispenser in the bathroom , just shower gel on the furthest wall away from the actual shower which was a little awkward . Had to wash my hands with the shower gel .

The property was Very Clean and Comfortable. Plenty of Parking and the Food was Amazing.
