Strattons

Lovely little quirky hotel, and lovely little touches, they left really nice breakfast goodies in the room. They very kindly upgraded us to a bigger suite free of charge, Really lovely friendly owners (Ness and her husband Les). Absolutely loved this hotel!! The main building was temporarily closed but it has beautiful chalet buildings all around the grounds and each little building is rented like an airbnb. This little gem is situated in the town but tucked away so it has all the amenities a stone throw away, all shops, chemists and restaurants and cafes on your doorstep. We arrived during a time where there was a festival in a nearby town so recommend that you book a taxi in advance just in case as it was fairly difficult to find a taxi available. We used the same taxi driver for all our trips as he was super friendly Tony from Watton taxis.

Not given the room as booked but the owner thought two single rooms would he preferred due to the heat. It would be nice to have had a choice.it seemed there were no other guests and compared to my last visit in 2018 the hotel seemed to have been neglected. There was no running water in one other bedrooms. We were not given the option to enjoy breakfast. It seemed the Print Annexe was being used as a storage room so I’m assuming this.was not actually available to book even tho we had secured the booking on line. There were no tea bags in one office rooms.
