Golden Town Hotel

The people I met at this facility were great.

If there is no hot water, it should be clearly stated. This hotel does not have hot water. If there is no hot water, it should be properly explained. She said she mentioned that there was no hot water, but that information has not yet been reflected on the booking site. If we cannot see that information, it is meaningless. There was no such notice on the booking page when we made our reservation. When I pointed this out, she became very upset. Also, the Wi-Fi does not work on the upper floors... Additionally, the accommodation was not properly explained, and I’m not informed that the door was auto-locking. Because of this, I was locked out of our room at night. If you want to take a warm shower and use Wi-Fi, you should not stay here.

The family is very kind and helpful and the food is really good. I planned 2 nights and stood 4 and ate there every morning and evening :) The Hotel is near to the Bus Station.

Close to the beach and city centre. Clean and comfortable.

The hosts are super friendly and nice people! The had everything we needed. They also have a restaurant at the hotel where we had yummy breakfast and great dinner.

I initially booked this place for just one night, but I was so charmed that I extended my stay for another two days! The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach (700-800m) and the Tangalle bus stop (~500m), offering easy access to nearby towns and major cities like Galle and Colombo. My room was spacious and clean, with a lovely balcony to relax on. But the true highlight of my stay was the incredible hospitality of Namali, the host. As a vegetarian, I was delighted by the delicious and varied meals she prepared for me throughout my stay. If you're looking for a welcoming and convenient place to stay in Tangalle, I wholeheartedly recommend this gem!

Nothing much. This place is good for both solo travellers as well as families.

We have been traveling for almost 2weeks and this was by far the best place we stayed at. The family was so welcoming and sweet, made us feel like at home. Helped us with everything and were so understanding. After our stay we did not even want to leave cause they made us feel so good, such a lovely family. If you can its definitely a place worth a stay, everything is clean, they have AC, private bathroom and just a lot of room to put your things, over all very comfortable and nice. 10/10 experience!❤️💛❤️💛❤️
