Ranfurly Hotel

Great old Deco style hotel, in the middle of town. The manager was great and let us securely store our motorbikes. Breakfast is included and the hotel is very tidy. The rooms are quite plain but that is how these hotels were.

Loved the art deco features and the guest lounge. These older hotels have so much 'personality'.

The hotel was very clean and the room was very clean. I wonder why accommodation venues insist on using so much deodorising spray/insect repellent in their rooms. Also, a little CRC on the doors would stop the squeaking.

The continental breakfast gave a good choice of cereals.

Lovely old pub with art deco features everywhere. Manager / owner was very friendly and helpful. Gave us our room a little early so we could freshen up and put on our wedding clothes in time to get to the wedding. The free continental breakfast was fine. Lunch (Bangers & Mash) was good too.

Door rattled loudly if windy with window open.

Clean , neat and tidy room. Linen fresh and crisp. Room well serviced. Bed very comfortable.👍 Ample wardrobe, with only 2 hangers 😏 Awesome hot water. Noisy toilet cistern. Owners pleasant enough.❣️ A reasonable enough experience apart from the dining experience. Please please address this. Would consider returning if food was over hauled.

Restaurant menu was very very very disappointing. It's hugely expensive in a far over reaching manner for what is provided. There is plenty on the menu but all expensive and same same. Please remove meatloaf off the menu forever.!!! Breakfast is a very sorrowful affair, very basic but edible. No alternative milk, butter. Where was the cooked option?? 😳

Great building and location, it has the potential to be fantastic… The bed was very comfortable & the sheets were crisp and clean.

Concierge at check in was surly and could not have been less interested. The ‘ensuite’ bathroom needs seriously updating. The communal guest lounge was tired & worn. The menu for dinner didn’t appeal & the bread stored wrapped in the freezer for breakfast toast was quite stale.
