Ranfurly Hotel

Warm room, comfy beds, good breakfast

Evening meals in the restaurant were average.

Location good. Breakfast okay, but could be improved. Rooms small, but clean and warm. Good meals from restaurant.

An extra shower for the females upstairs.

We stayed in a triple room with private bathroom, room was spacious and bathroom great.

Check in was lacking, I understand that the property was short staffed but she gave me the key and started to walk away, k had to ask about how to get to the room, breakfast etc We didn’t know that the restaurant was only running a limited menu due to being short staffed or that there were other options available in Ranfurly. Was disappointed that the room rate included continental breakfast but we couldn’t find this anywhere.

We throughly enjoyed and can highly recommend the lovly deco hotel in Ranfurly. Our stay was made so much more special by a lovly bouquet and bottle of wine being presented to us by management and staff, the occasion being our 61st Wedding Anniversary.Hilary and Matthew King King. Gore.

it was as expected for a hotel in that location

the ensuite was very small and the handbasin was at knee height, my husband had to kneel to clean his teeth plus the toilet bowl was badly stained. the hotel charges way too much for this standard in my view.
