Beautiful location, food excellent, rooms lovely and hotel charming

Not enough staff One ooor person running around trying to do everything Meant glasses left lying on table in lounge for hours etc which you wouldn’t expect to see for the price of the hotel. Also had v long wait for breakfast (although was delicious when it did arrive!)

Breakfast was excellent and the redeeming feature.

Bed was super soft and needs replaced. Mugs in bedroom were filthy - lipstick stains and old tea / coffee stains. Windows were also in need of cleaning.

Es war nur ein Mann anwesend und der musste sich um alles kümmern. Wir mussten ihn nach mehrmaligem klingeln suchen und warten. Frühstück war sehr lieblos und sehr wenig Auswahl. Das meiste auf der Frühstück Karte war nicht verfügbar. Wir mussten sehr lange auf alles warten obwohl nur ein weiterer Tisch besetzt war. Man hat sich nicht willkommen gefühlt.

The breakfast was gorgeous.The surrounding woodland was very atmospheric and access to the loch was very pretty and an enjoyable walk.The room was very large and spotless with everything we needed.The lady who greeted us was very pleasant and informative about the surrounding area.

A beautiful location and venue with friendly service

Le personnel était exceptionnel ainsi que les propriétaires de l’établissement. La cuisine était excellente et l’ambiance était très chaleureuse.

Really lovely room, lots of space and really quiet

The walls are quite thin, so can hear people walking along the corridor, but generally super quiet! Lovely location

The hotel rooms were beautifully clean and fresh. The young man who checked me in was very friendly and helpful when he discovered housekeeping had missed all the towels for the rooms. He offered to help with luggage but mine was just hand luggage. Two bottles of water were in the room, as were teas and coffees. My room had dressing gowns and slippers provided. Dinner choices were very good and the quality and flavour was excellent. I had braised lamb, which was very tender, tasty and fat free. Breakfast was a small buffet of fruit, yoghurt, cereals and fruit juices then hot choices from the menu. I decided to sample the porridge and though I'd asked for a small plate (a couple of spoonfuls) I was given a good portion, and it was delicious. Coffee was plentiful.

One member of staff was on duty in the bar, the dining room and at breakfast. While she had enquired very soon after I'd checked in (by coming to my room) to see if all was fine I had a couple of issues requiring help...how to work the tv as it kept saying 'no signal' and also how to work the higher rain shower. I could operate the lower shower head fine. She was unable to help and said she would ask someone who was not there at the time, but he never appeared. The bar area was very small to sit and have a drink, although I did discover other sitting rooms in the hotel. Breakfast took a very long time to arrive to the table, perhaps delayed a little as I'd chosen porridge to start, but even so it was 40-50 minutes before the cooked breakfast came. There were only 5 of us in the breakfast room.
