Royal Boutique Hotel

The room was nice a big for a couple, we had a great view of the once and sunset. The aircon was amazing, making the room nice and cold in the evenings.

The floors were dirty at times, and they were busy with construction during our stay.

Staff were so helpful and friendly. Amazing location and views. Wish I had stayed longer

The location was wonderful

The ongoing building works Our friends room had a shower which didn’t work they had to use our room. The water coming out of the taps was like mud!! The staff weren’t trained properly We asked to speak to the manager and was told he was coming to see us but he never did. The rooms were very tired and dated

Perfect location, lovely breakfast

The room initially allocated very poor, broken patio door, sour milk in fridge, dirty room, unsafe wiring. We complained & the next day we were given a room with a fabulous view. Building work on upgrading rooms causes noise & dust

great location, very good breakfast, friendly staff who clearly care about delivering good service. the interior of the communal areas is very attractive and there’s a small but lovely pool on the terrace.

building / refurb work ongoing while we were there and i think we were put in an old room right next to where renovations were being carried out. that aid it was a very last minute booking as we booked on the morning of arrival so i’m sure we got the last available room.

If you are looking for a cozy hotel near one of the busiest and touristy locations in cape town then this is your answer. I was travelling alone, so I was extra cautious about safety, and this hotel was a 5-minute walk to the beach and restaurants. I stayed out till late and came back to the hotel without feeling unsafe. The property is clean; the room I got was huge with bathrobes to coffee machines to what not (for the prize). My room also did have a huge balcony with nice views. The staff was very friendly and was sad that i was in a hurry so couldn't have the breakfast apart from the coffee. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Excellent location. Large room with seating area, kitchenette and beautiful balcony with views perfect for watching the sunset. We knew about the construction work beforehand and it didn’t bother us (we are early risers anyway). We felt very safe and the breakfasts were good.

Some of the fittings were slightly dated but overall excellent value for money considering location and room size.
